Ok, so technically her birthday was Saturday, but we were busy with a big party, so I'm posting now...
It's SO hard to believe that it's been a year since Abigail was born. She's changed so much and is really turning into a little girl now. She's walking everywhere and she's into everything. She loves looking outside at the ducks (thanks, Grandpa Rick!), she'll pick up just about anything that she can "clean" with, she gives big, wet, slobbery kisses, and great big hugs. She still loves to eat her veggies and she's trying really hard to use her spoon and fork. She dances to any music that catches her attention. She will try to buckle anything that looks like it should buckle (stroller and car seat straps, buckle on her changing table). She has three teeth, and is working on another three. She goes to bed at 7:30 (now that the time changed), although she doesn't usually fall asleep up there until closer to 8. It's amazing to see life through her eyes; everything is so new and fascinating.
In the last couple of weeks she's really started saying a lot of words. Her vocabulary now includes:
Mama
Dada
duck
bubbles
beep, beep
baby
buckle (she says, "buck")
uh oh
ribbit
moo
bye bye
Daisy
dog
Chris and I cannot remember what our life was like before Abigail was born. It is amazing to think that life can change so drastically in one year, but we wouldn't change a thing. What a blessing to have a baby who is so full of life.
Pictures will be forthcoming. Chris and I didn't get pictures on her birthday because we were busy with everything that was going on. Thank goodness for grandparents! By this weekend I should have pictures and will get them up soon.
